The learning and development of our colleagues has always been fundamental to our business strategy, ensuring that we provide individuals with a clear career progression path to enable them to be the best that they can be.
In April, we partnered with digital learning provider Digits to launch our brand new learning management system (LMS). Our Online Learning Innovation – or Oli – platform allows all of our colleagues to log on anytime, anywhere, through any device to access a whole library of learning activities.
The content provided on this platform ranges from mandatory training such as annual health and safety training to leadership and management skills, enabling our workforce to improve their knowledge and help them to progress further through their career journey. The learning library, which includes over 100 modules, is available to all colleagues across the business, ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to improve their learning.
New courses are added to Oli each month to give colleagues the chance to develop new skills and learn about topics that they otherwise may have not had exposure to. The launch of 11 modules dedicated to mental health proved to be hugely popular and helped to springboard the establishment of our health and wellbeing strategy.
The flexibility that the platform promotes has positively impacted the number of colleagues that are actively engaged in their learning and development, with over 3,000 modules being successfully completed in less than six months. Plans to increase the content available on the platform, as well as the functionality that is available, are already well underway as we look to place learning at the heart of what it means to work for Jardine Motors Group.
