Jardine Motors is once again sponsoring the Inspiring Automotive Women Awards run by the Automotive 30% Club, which aims to celebrate and recognise women’s contribution to the industry.
Last year’s awards saw nine Jardine Motors colleagues recognised as winners for their inspirational work, continuing to make exceptional strides to challenge the industry on the issue of gender equality as well as the commercial difference they make to the business.
Clare Martin, Group HR Director, explains the reason behind supporting the awards: “It’s widely documented that the impact of the pandemic could have devastating consequences of women’s career progression, so it’s really important that we support these types of initiatives that help shine a spotlight on the female talent we have and to ensure that we don’t lose focus on key areas that drive inclusive business cultures.”
The Automotive 30% Club’s purpose is to achieve a better gender balance within the industry, with the aim of filling at least 30% of key leadership positions in the member organisations with women by 2030.
