One of the most controversial and contested opinions regarding electric vehicles is fuel and how, as a consumer, you will be able to ensure that you can effectively charge - or fuel - your vehicles wherever you are to perform your daily tasks and activities.
Manufacturers have invested millions into the research and development of charging and fuelling facilities and we are seeing new advancements being released into the market constantly. The increasing pressure on owning an electric vehicles, including full electric, hybrid and plug-in hybrid, has caused consumers to question how all of these different fuel types and methods for charging will work and integrate into their every day lives.
In reality, overtime, the infrastructure will be put in place to enable all consumers to fuel their electric vehicle using any socket for any car. There will be a consistency across all facilities to allow you to swap from one service to the next and from one vehicle to the next.
Our Property Director Stephen Pettyfer outlines his views on how the introduction of electric vehicles will change the way that consumers think about fuelling, moving from running the tank down to empty to topping up as you go. The improvements in electrical infrastructure in the future will support this development.
