The Cayenne’s familiar profile and front view are augmented with several unique design features inside and out. The Sport Design package comes as standard; front air intakes, side window trims, the sports exhaust tailpipes and the Porsche and model logos on the rear are all in black. LED headlights with their quad daylight running lights and Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) are also dark tinted, as are the LED tail lights. Completing the picture are satin-gloss Black 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels with red brake callipers. Inside, you’ll find Alcantara® on the roof lining, seat centre panels, centre console armrests and doors, while the trim is dark brushed aluminium. Eight-way electronically adjustable sports seats are standard; finishing touches include GTS logos on doors, door entry sills, rev counter and head restraints.
PERFORMANCE
The Cayenne GTS is powered by a 460PS, 4.0-litre V8 engine that puts its performance squarely between the 440PS Cayenne S and the 550PS Cayenne Turbo. Acceleration from 0-62mph takes 4.5 seconds (with the Sport Chrono package) and top speed is 173mph. Porsche engineers have sharpened the dynamics with this model; Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is standard, and the ride height is lowered by 20mm. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) also comes as part of the standard specification, while further options include Porsche Surface Coated Brakes and rear axle steering.
TECHNOLOGY
At the heart of the Cayenne GTS is the Porsche Communication Management system (PCM) which includes a high resolution 12.3-inch touchscreen display, voice control, online navigation, Apple® CarPlay and Android Auto. A three-year subscription to Porsche Connect is included, which comprises online navigation, music streaming and online radio, Remote services and Connect Services. The 10-speaker, 150W Sound Package Plus audio system is also standard.
SAFETY
Safety systems include the Warn and Brake Assist system which includes Pedestrian protection, which can intervene with autonomous braking if it senses a potential accident that the driver has not responded to. ParkAssist (front and rear) includes visual and audible warning, and other standard fitments are cruise control, distance warning and a reversing camera. The Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS) increases visibility on bends roads using both dynamic and static cornering lights.
