TAYCAN 4 CROSS TURISMO All-wheel drive, all-electric and all very appealing. Unlike the Taycan saloon and the Taycan Sport Turismo, there is no rear-drive version of the Taycan Cross Turismo. Which makes this, the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, the entry point for the combination of higher ride height and sports estate body that distinguish the Cross Turismo family. DESIGN

Sleek, sporty and elegant, the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo is a versatile four-door sports estate that carries strong family design cues with the iconic 911, especially from the front. The higher roofline and extended rear profile give the rear seat passenger a little more headroom, while the 60:40 split folding rear seats, when folded, can turn the 446-litre boot into a full 1,171-litre loadspace accessed from the rear hatch. Compared with the Taycan Sport Turismo, the Cross models ride 20mm higher (30mm higher with the optional Off-road Design Package).

PERFORMANCE

The Taycan 4 Cross Turismo features the larger 93.4kWh Performance Battery Plus as standard. This powers two Permanent Magnet Synchronous (PSM) motors, with a single speed transmission on the front axle and a two-speed transmission on the rear. Together they deliver maximum power of 476PS in Overboost mode. This catapults the Taycan from 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds; 0-124mph takes 15.6 seconds and maximum speed is 137mph. Porsche’s innovative 800V architecture means that it can be charged at up to 270kW at a rapid charger facility, while the maximum range is between 258 and 304 miles. One unique feature of the Taycan Cross family is a Gravel Mode for activation of settings for enhanced rough road and loose surface capability.

TECHNOLOGY

The Porsche Advanced Cockpit features a fully digital 16.8-inch curved display, integrated 8.4-inch centre console control panel and 10.9-inch central display. There’s an optional front passenger display allowing access to navigation and infotainment functions, with a further option of a 5.9-inch touchscreen for the rear passengers. You can access all functions either via the touchscreen or the ‘Hey Porsche’ voice control, which is intuitive and works with natural language commands. The standard specification includes Sound Package Plus with 10 Speakers and a total output of 150 watts, wireless phone charging in the centre console storage compartment and Porsche Connect with Apple® CarPlay (including wireless CarPlay).

SAFETY

Assistance systems include Collision and Brake Assist, which can intervene to prevent or mitigate a front-end collision, plus Lane Keeping Assist with Traffic Sign Recognition. Reversing manoeuvres are made easier by Parking Assist, which includes front and rear sensors with visual and audible warning and a rear-facing camera.
OVERVIEW
The Cross Turismo family of models is arguably the most versatile of all Porsche’s electric car line-up, with a great combination of space, pace and driving enjoyment.
