The Macan T benefits from a range of exterior tweaks with the spoiler, sideblades, exterior mirrors, roof spoiler, and lettering all finished in a metallic Agate Grey colour. Emphasising its sporty character, the SUV sits upon 20” Macan S wheels finished in Dark Titanium and boasts a pair of black sports tailpipes at the rear. Inside, the luxury black leather heated sports seats are complemented by Sport-Tex inserts, decorative silver stitching and an embossed Porsche crest on the headrests. The GT sports steering wheel in Race-Tex is also heated, whilst carbon trims and black brushed aluminium door sill guards with the Macan T logo elevate the interior.
PERFORMANCE
Using a turbocharged inline four-cylinder 2.0-litre engine, the Macan T produces 261bhp and 400Nm of torque, equating to a 0 – 62mph time of just 6.2 seconds and 144mph top speed. The engine is 58kg lighter than the 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 used in the Macan S and Macan GTS, which helps to increase agility and dynamics. A tweaked suspension with PASM offers more precision and agility with steel coil springs and lowers the body by 15mm. Adaptive air suspension is available as an option, lowering the body by a further 10mm, as well as Porsche Vectoring Plus to further sharpen dynamics. Porsche’s Sport Chrono Package is equipped as standard, as well as a 7-speed PDK gearbox and the Porsche Traction Management all-wheel drive system.
TECHNOLOGY
The Macan T is equipped with the latest tech, adopting the same cabin introduced in the model’s latest generation. This includes a new centre console and latest Porsche Communication Management system with 10.9” touchscreen, satellite navigation and smartphone integration via Apple CarPlay as standard. The instrument cluster comprises a hi-res 4.8” display and a centrally positioned rev counter derived from the iconic 911. Other tech highlights include three-zone automatic climate control and the Porsche Connect app allows you to easily access your car’s key information such as its mileage or location, all from your smartphone.
SAFETY
To improve visibility, the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus optimises lighting on bending and turning roads. Standard driving assistance systems include Lane Departure Warning, ParkAssist front and rear, cruise control, and Porsche Hill Control. All models also feature Porsche Stability Management with ABS, ASR, ABD, MSR, and trailer stability management. A reversing camera and more tech-enabled features such as adaptive cruise control, Lane Keeping Assist, and Lane Change Assist are available as options.
